FRESHMEN & TRANSFEREES OFFICIALLY WELCOMED TO PCCR

Last Wednesday, August 12, 2009, the freshmen and transferees were officially welcomed to PCCr with a half-day seminar entitled “Freshmen Students and Transferees Orientation Seminar: 1st Semester 2009-2010” held at the JFAB Sports Center, 4th Floor Old Building.
The orientation was highlighted with various talks by PCCr Administration Officials. The morning session started assembling by 9AM while the afternoon started 1:30PM. It started with a roll call of professors and students attending.
The PCCr-MLC Chorale started the orientation with an inspirational doxology followed by the singing National Anthem conducted by Mr. Rodel J. Rivera.
Administrative Manager Eduard M. Solomon introduced the administration officials to the freshmen and transferees.
Technical Assistant for Planning, Personnel & Management and High School Principal Mario S. Villalobos gave a brief background of the speaker and introduced our very own President and Chairman of the Board, Gregory Alan F. Bautista.

In his speech, Pres. Alan likened the school to mountaineering – the administration and the faculty being the map and compass, the people who will guide the students in fulfilling their dreams of being criminologists. He also disclosed his vision for globalization. In achieving this vision, he shared the three core values of discipline, integrity and loyalty.
After the presidents’ inspiring speech, the guidance policies were explained by Dr. Maria Lourdes V. Galindez. Her message was capsulated by saying “everybody is family, every is welcome” at the guidance office.
P/Supt. Gaudencio B. Quibuyen, our Chief in the Office of Discipline, Investigation and Security next talked about the rules on discipline, investigation, and security. He shared his two advocacies, corruption free PCCr and fraternity free PCCr.
Atty. Ramil G. Gabao, PCCr Legal Counsel gave a short discussion on Sexual Harassment and the policies every student should know about this.
Fourth year student and belter Bernadette Solero gave a rousing intermission number which was followed by the short speech of the Acting Registrar & Head of the Admission Office, Larycel B. Romano.
Dr. Ariel C. Manlusoc, Dean of Criminology discussed the details as to how students can achieve academic scholarship as well as the disciplines in the specialization program – criminology education, intelligence & investigation, cyber crime, industrial security and management, jail management and penology, and fire technology.

The different varsity teams were also introduced by Sports Director Jocyphriam R. Enteria followed by an intermission number by the Filipino Club, Rotaract Club, Martial Arts Club and the Combat Shooting Club.
Dr. Mercedes A. Foronda, Dean of Instruction & Accreditation closed the program with an inspirational talk.
Everybody was in high spirits as the PCCr Hymn was sung to officially end the orientation.
