PRES. ALAN JOINS THE 5th ANNIV. CELEBRATION OF FIO

Our very own President and Chairman of the Board, Gregory Alan F. Bautista, attended the recently concluded “5th Anniversary Celebration of the Office of the Ombudsman’s The Field Investigation Office” last July 17, 2009 at the Field Investigation Office (FIO), Function Rooms, Office of the Ombudsman, Ombudsman Bldgs. Agham Road QC.

The 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Field Investigation Office started with the National Anthem led by the FIO Chorale.  Among the highlights of the event included the invocation by Atty. Jennifer O. Lacea.

Assistant Ombudsman Mark E. Jalandoni welcomed everyone to the celebration by giving the opening remarks followed by the video presentation of the FIO accomplishments. Ombudsman Hon. Ma. Merceditas N. Gutierrez, inspired all the attendees with her message.  Finally, after the recognition ceremony, Atty. Joselito P. Fangon, the Acting Director of GIB-C closed the program.

By attending the FIO Anniversary, Pres. Alan forged anew the deep ties of PCCr and the Office of the Ombudsman. Since Investigation and Intelligence is one of the programs criminology students could specialize in, the Field Investigation Office of the Office of the Ombudsman opens doors to qualified investigators in their ranks.  It is envisioned that more and more PCCr alumni would have an opportunity to practice their skills in this office.
